ESJ 2019 in Kobe finished!

"Ecological Stability: spatial and temporal dynamics", the first symposium I have organised is finished!
Really appreciate that Sam organised it together, and that all speakers gave awesome talks!
We were very lucky to have amazing researchers as our speakers. Especially Dr. Maria Dornelas kindly agreed to be our plenary speaker, and came all the way from Europe right after two other conferences!
The conference became the most exciting one ever for me, and we also talked with several other great researchers after the symposium. I had many inspiring conversations! I am very glad we did it!!

Speakers and titles were
Yuka Suzuki (OIST, Japan)
"Spatial Dynamics: Relating explicit spatial structure with biodiversity in a meta-community"
Samuel R.P-J. Ross (Trinity College Dublin, Ireland)
"Temporal Dynamics: Urbanisation degrades Okinawa’s biotic soundscape"
Maria Dornelas (University of St. Andrews, UK)
"Biodiversity change in the Anthropocene"
Kenta Suzuki (RIKEN BioResource Center, Japan)
"On the stability landscape of ecological communities"
Paula Villa Martin (OIST, Japan)
